Steinbeis University

Founded in 1998 Steinbeis University Berlin is a state-recognised, private university. It is a link between science and industry, ensuring transfer-oriented, part-time education and training. It is tailored to the needs of the modern knowledge society. Sound and up-to-date knowledge is communicated and put into practice by the students under the supervision of professors and other teaching staff. Thus students develop competences which become an innovative and competitive factor for both them and their companies.

There are currently more than 6500 enrolled students, making Steinbeis University one of the biggest private universities in Germany by number of students. It is part of the Steinbeis Foundation in Stuttgart. The global Steinbeis network encompasses more than 800 knowledge transfer centers, about 4000 experts and cooperation with international partner universities in Europe, the USA and Asia.


Steinbeis Business Academy (SBA) was founded in 2001 and offers bachelor and master study programmes. Under the management of Prof. Dr. Peter Dohm, Birgit Lüders and Norman Dohm, the SBA can look back on an annual double-digit growth in the number of students and more than 2000 graduates. There are currently approx. 2500 students enrolled, making it the largest school of Steinbeis University. The SBA headquarters are located in the Technology Region Karlsruhe and there are also offices in Stuttgart, Stockach, Balingen and Berlin as well as approx. 50 lecture locations in Germany and abroad, facilitating individual professional training near home. More than 40 SBA employees ensure flexible supervision. In the true spirit of lifelong learning, SBA not only offers study programmes. It also arranges certified courses and seminars on management and specialized topics for all branches.
